Pictures of our summer fun

Okay, so I haven't put many pictures up lately, and I have a ton, so here are a lot to look at. This is an update of our summer fun. Don't you just love summer?!

Jayci and I went to Bluffdale Town Days back in June. I figured it was a good chance to put her in her fourth of July outfit I found amongst her hand me down clothes. Cute huh?

This is Jayci and her cousin, Drew, actually getting along for once. Usually that's not the case. :)

We watched the parade and had a good time. It was a really good parade this year for being in the small town of Bluffdale. This was Jayci's first parade, since she was a baby, and she loved it. It was so fun to watch her just sit there and enjoy everything that went by.

Sitting with the fam

Julie and her fam came in from Arizona to visit for a few weeks in July and they all came over to my house and stayed one night. It's always so fun to have them. We made home made ice cream with my ice cream ball and the kids loved it. And the ice cream sure was good! Oreo... my favorite!

Little buddy cousins playing together- Jayci and Ren. If you notice, all Jayci's cousins, close to her in age, are boys. But she still enjoys them.
And last, a picture of my growing belly. At five months, I'm feeling kind of big. I haven't gained too much weight, but my belly is definitely growing!

Lots of pictures of our Tennessee trip

Chad, Jayci, and I took a last minute trip to Tennessee for a week over the Fourth of July. We went with Chad's mom, sister, and her kids. It was quite an adventure taking 4 kids on 2 planes in the middle of the night, then driving a rental car for five more hours, but we made it. We went to his great grandmother's house for a family reunion. It was really beautiful there, and fun to meet Chad's family I'd never met. I especially like listening to them talk with their thick accents. A highlight of our trip was driving through parts of Chad's mission in North Carolina, since that is where our second plane landed. Here are lots of pictures of our adventures.

The kids loved this pool. Chad's mom bought it for the little kids, but the older kids seemed to enjoy it even more.

Hanging out with the family.

One of Jayci's favorite things- playing in the dirt and getting DIRTY. She was picking it up and rubbing it in her hair over and over again.

To say the least, she got a little dirty

Grayson, Jayci's cousin, doesn't mind making messes either, apparently.

Chad's great Aunt Jackie, Grandma Ott, Great Grandma Gillentine, great aunt Vicki and great uncle Voy

Dirty Jayci with her grandma Baxter - another favorite of hers

Blowing bubbles... or just blowing

This is after I dumped her in the pool to clean off a little, now she looks like a dirty, wet cat

The two diaper babies

All dressed up for the Fourth of July

Hanging out at the hotel- Fourth of July morning. Not a typical Fourth of July for me. Usually I go to Provo to see the hot air balloons and parade, then hang out with my family. So I kind of missed those events, but it was still a fun change for this year.

My little monkey girl

This was at a flee market in TN. Jayci was wearing a monkey backpack that had a leash on it. She thought that was fun. monkeys are another favorite of hers.

Sitting on a pretty bridge they made in the yard. I forgot about looking fat from the side until I saw the picture. :)

Jayci was having fun on the bridge!

This is Chad and a relative competing in the corn bag toss. It's like horseshoes only you have to throw a corn bag into a hole in the board. They had a big tournament and whoever won got to take home a corn on the cob trophy. Chad competed quite well, but unfortunately, no corn trophy this year.

Great form

Jayci with her Grandma Ott (Chad's mom's mom)

Once again, she's playing in the dirt and rubbing it all over her legs. This time she was working on digging a hole in the yard.

Family- watching the corn toss

Jayci had her eye on this bike all day and wanted to ride it so bad, so her dad gave her a little trip around the yard. She loves bikes!

All tuckered out

Driving through the beautiful mountains of North Carolina

These are the famous Great Smoky Mountains. There were guys along the side of the road taking pictures of the cars that go by so that you can look it up on the Internet and buy your photo later- it's that great I guess.

Funny faces in the airport. Got to do something to keep from getting bored, right?
It was a great trip! Thanks Leslie for inviting and accommodating us. We had a fun time. we had wanted to go back east (or down south, whatever you call it) for a trip this year, but didn't think it was going to happen, so this was a fun last minute thing that turned out great. A great part about going away from home is that when I come back I enjoy being home and have new motivation to get more done, and enjoy myself. I really needed that time away.
