Thanks for the help

Alright, my small concensus said no purple, and that I needed some help, so here's the new product. It looks a little too busy to me, so maybe I'll change it soon. Chad wasn't crazy about it, but I sure think it's a cute background, I'm crazy about pink!

Pink and purple a little cheesy?

Alright, maybe the pink and purple is a little much, but they're my favorite colors, and with all the pictures of Jayci, they just match. What do you think? Should I shoot for a different color scheme? The problem is, I don't know how to change the top colors, so it kind of clashes. A little help?

Just Jayci being Jayci

Alright, I know I have pretty much all pictures of Jayci on this blog, but when your baby is as cute as mine, how can you resist? A few recent pictures I took of the little stinker (that is what she is lately, but we love her).

When she wakes up I stand her up in the crib, she loves to rock back and forth and shake the crib. She can't pull herself up yet, but one of these days I'm sure I'll come in to her standing on her own. Right now she just gets up on her hands and tries to look up over the bumpers, it's cute.

So, as you can see, most of the pictures are with this crusty face. That's about the only face she makes anymore. It kind of replaced her smile. Maybe she thinks that is what it is. Oh, and the mowhawk was thanks to Grandma Baxter. She babysat the night before and it was still there the next day. Hooligan really, I don't know if I can trust them with her anymore, ha ha.

I put her on the counter the other day and she went up in this push up position, great move! She's getting close to crawling, but not there yet. She is quite content to sit and just lean over in a crawling position, but not move. Today she is nine months and has her first tooth!

Our biker girl

The other day I was talking to my neighbor and he told me he gave his wife a $200 teddy bear that had on motorcycle garb and thought the outfit would probably just fit Jayci. "That would be a once in a lifetime photo for sure. Wouldn't that just be so cute?" He asked. I could only say yes, so he brought the bear over and I dressed her up and had a photo shoot. I took her outside to show him and he thought it was the best. Chad was less than impressed. He likes her to be girly, not a punk. But it was fun anyway.

Tight squeeze, but it fits!

I don't think Yugi or Jayci appreciated this one

Cute huh?

Tagged?

Alright, I'm new and I've already been tagged! Thanks, Heather :)

3 Joys: My baby, My husband (most of the time :), and the outdoors
3 Fears: sickness, black widows in my sheds, killing my firebelly toads (oh wait, I already did)
3 Goals: Go to the temple more often, date my husband once a week, have FHE every week (okay, so I sound like I'm Miss righteous with these goals, but that's because I realized lately I am seriously lacking in spiritual matters, so I made these goals the other day to try harder. No changes yet :)
3 Random facts: I shoot a bow and arrow and am going deer hunting this fall, I am so happy I can still throw out a back handspring since having a baby, I want to go on a hot air balloon ride so bad
I tag: Jill, Lolly, Brittany

We've emerged

Well, we've emerged from darkness into the light of the world. We finally got the internet into our home and I feel like I'm part of the world now. Here's a few updates on our life right now. Sorry about the overload!

Our Little Jayci

Well, here are some recent pictures of the little joy of our life. She's eight months old and sure is fun and keeps things interesting around here. She's so much happier now that she can sit up and also loves to eat! (Chad says she takes after me in that way)

I just learned how to stand holding on to things, how fun!

I love to show off my cuteness!

She loves her daddy, especially since he feeds her yummy treats!

(And yes, she does look a whole lot like her dad)

mmm...carrots!

One in each hand

She loves to swing in the backyard

Her new evil look she likes to show off

Projects, projects, projects

For those of you who don't know, we bought a house out in Tooele last summer and fixed up the inside so it was livable. This spring we really kicked into gear on our yard. Still lots to do, but it's coming along and it's exciting!

Our first garden. May 08

It's growing, how exciting! July 08

Our front yard before...

We dug lots of trenches (Jeni dug this one all by herself -hard work! )

Our pile of topsoil on the driveway (all the kids around had a ball playing in it).

Our new trees

Chad working on his bobcat skills spreading the topsoil (he pointed out it would have been a whole lot faster if he knew how to maneuver it a little better!)

Intsant grass! Sod is so great!

Our new flowers coming up and rose bushes in bloom
