Jayci Turned Three

That's right, Jayci turned 3 October 22! Hard to believe. Her birthday got a little neglected because that's the night Chad and I went away for our anniversary. She stayed at my mom's, which I'm sure was the best birthday present to be with her Grandma and cousins. They took her to a ward Halloween party that night and there were balloons and prizes and so Julie was so nice and pointed out all night that they were celebrating her birthday and it was a party for her. :) So I don't have any birthday pictures, but she was an adorable little snow white (with blonde hair) for Halloween. I love my little Jayci. She's so sweet, and animated and fun to have around. She is very shy and not a fan of crowds (which, by crowds I mean more than about 2 people). She loves to dance and sing and do somersaults and other tricks. She's still just a petitite little girl, and I think she's adorable!
5 things I love about Jayci:
  1. She's a good listener and is basically very obedient and wants to do what's right
  2. She is adorable when she entertains with her dancing and singing (and talking. She's quite a motor mouth these days)
  3. She is so cute to watch with her little brother and really adores him
  4. She gets so excited about life and all she does
  5. She's my little buddy and sticks right by my side wherever we go

An Awesome Weekend Getaway!

Chad and I celebrated our FIFTH anniversary on October 14. I've always wanted to rent a room somewhere since we got married, but Chad had a hard time agreeing to pay to stay over night somewhere. So he always told me we could at our 5 year anniversary. So, I held him up to that. I rented a room at the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast in Midway and was so excited! And I wasn't disappointed! It was SO GREAT! It was just the kind of thing we needed, no kids and all the time we wanted to just relax and hang out together. Even Chad loved it. I purposely went there and chose the room I did because it was sure to please him. It had a deck that looked out on the Jordan river and promised for a look at wildlife, and sure enough we saw deer the first time we looked out our window. We also found out after we got there that you could fish in their ponds, so he was bummed that he didn't take his fishing pole. It was BEAUTIFUL with the fall leaves everywhere. Lots had fallen on the ground already, so it made a beautiful ground cover. He took me over the mountain to and from Midway and it was so pretty. Anyone who knows me well, know that mountains and fall leaves are my favorite thing in the whole world to see. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast, so romantic! They are my favorite thing!

That's the bed and breakfast behind us, and a pretty waterfall

This is the path to the gazebo over the pond

This is the pond outside. That night when it was dark we went out in the canoe and chased swans around. They never flew away, but they did swim faster than us, so Chad couldn't grab them:)

Beautiful leaves and a pretty girl he found there

Don't tell Chad, but I snuck a picture of this hot guy. And if you're wondering why he's wearing camo suspenders in all his pictures, it's really just the straps to his binoculars he wore around in case we spotted some wildlife.

The cool waterfall outside the hotel

This is our fun room. It had a loft, which was one of the reasons I chose it, so cute. In fact, we invited our friends to come occupy the extra bed in the loft, but for some reason they didn't show. My favorite thing to do was jump off the ladder onto the bed!

Looking at the room from the loft. It had a nice little fireplace and a TV. We checked out "Hairspray" from the office and watched it that night, so romantic :)

A beautiful little pathway with stairs

Julie's favorite (she thinks it's so funny). She thinks I should blow this up and hang it in our room. He looks like a cute little boy, huh? Yes, I did tell him to pose, it wasn't his choice.

THANKS CHAD FOR AN AWESOME WEEKEND!! I LOVE YOU!
